Salah Offers Regret to Squad, Says Curtis Jones

Curtis Jones has revealed that Mohamed Salah expressed regret to the team following the controversy from his recent interview.

The striker was dropped from a key Champions League match following voicing frustrations and claiming his rapport with Arne Slot had broken down.

“Mo is his own man and he can say his own stuff,” the midfielder said. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, I apologise.’”

The manager has chosen not to comment publicly on whether he was apologised to from the 33-year-old forward.

He emphasized that the dressing room atmosphere was unchanged. “Nothing about him changed, he had a big smile on his face and it was business as usual,” the midfielder explained.

He also implied that a teammate fighting for a place is a positive trait. “I understand there are specific approaches you can handle situations,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just not start, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”

Liverpool's form have stayed unbeaten in the matches since the initial controversy. Jones believes the forward's comments were not intended to harm the team.
